Drops of Color

It’s beginning to look  a lot like…

Two small people.
Siblings?
More than likely.

They’re comfortable
beside one another.

He is mesmerized by
her ability to
weave, create a loop
and wait!

She loves him at her
hip…like they are two
peas sharing the same
pod.

A gift being given—
a blanket to be received.

It’s beginning to look
a lot like—
how simple love can be!

A lot like love IS!

I love this picture! I am not sure why, but it just appeals to me. I am looking at her and wondering if she has some kind of an apron on or a pinafore over her dress. I had a dress with a pinafore when I was a little girl Thanks to your picture, I have an image in my head of what mine looked like,…it was a light yellow dress with a white pinafore. I remember it! And her companion, so intent on what she is doing! I wonder, too, how fast and nimble her fingers are,…we have a woman at my volunteer site who brings her crocheting with her. It fascinates me to see how quickly she accomplishes what she is doing. Her fingers fly. She has made many lovely afghans which she donates to Saint Joseph’s Place. The recipients are so grateful and happy just as I am sure the companion in the picture will be! Happy Christmas!
