Heavenly Tears
Heavenly Tears
A clanging bell is
held upon a swaying bed
of blue.
Rocking, wavering,
then chiming a soft melody
as the winds begin to stir.
A soft shower
ensues…
the cascade of water—
a heightened deluge.
Tender tapping
turns to a draping of
beats…pounding, pounding, pounding.
The tempest
grows with fury
unleashing waves
engulfing the
buoy
and, as it resurfaces,
the song ‘still’ plays on.
Another whirling band
of water strikes.
Unleashed—the clouds
empty
like a faucet lifted high.
Heavenly rains—
How can they be called
heavenly?
It is at these moments
a new song rises…
Giving voice
as tears
stream on.
