Reeds
Reeds
I sat along the bank
of a river.
The reeds gathered themselves
around me until my
body submerged itself in
an unexpected baptism.
Enraptured was I,
becoming each drop of water.
I stretched my body, a
chalice, in each direction.
Pouring myself like droplets
of rain,
I fell pelting the pristine
landscape.
I rose from the water.
Now, sitting on the bank,
I began again as reeds
wrapped themselves around me.
